The Netherlands Embassy in Bangkok collaborates with local partners, including the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and we!park, to address urban challenges such as climate resilience, water management, and sustainable development. The Embassy brings Dutch expertise in urban planning and water-sensitive urban design to create livable and inclusive cities, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange between the Netherlands and Thailand. This initiative focuses on transforming an underutilized urban space into a vibrant, climate-resilient public park. The project integrates functional zones for community engagement, relaxation, and cultural activities. During Bangkok Design Week 2025, a tactical intervention will be showcased through a temporary installation. The project aims to demonstrate the potential of participatory urban design in creating inclusive, sustainable public spaces that respond to local needs while leveraging international expertise.
