In this “Wang Burapha Rewind” walking tour, Dr. Yuwaree Choksuansap, a historian scholar with a keen interest in the evolution of Thai entertainment venues, takes us back in time to explore the vibrant spirit of Wang Burapha—once the entertainment center of Bangkok. Appreciate the creativity, resilience, and defiance of the Bangkokians hidden behind the stage curtains and bar tops, and gain insight into how these theatres and pubs played their roles in shaping modern Thai society. Participants will enjoy delicious snacks from the Pratu Phi-Wang Burapha area and receive a souvenir postcard featuring photographs of various entertainment venues and points of interest in the Wang Burapha area. These postcards are created by faculty and students from the Tourism and Event Business program as part of a project to support learning and cultural preservation, organized by the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality at Dhurakij Pundit University. This activity will be conducted in Thai only.
