Blossom Pak Khlong: Immersive Flower Installation
Flowers serve as a medium that reflects the beauty of nature through their various shapes, forms, and colors. They often embody different symbolic meanings and sentiments, such as love, longing, sorrow, disappointment, or even anger, all of which can be conveyed through the act of giving flowers. This symbolic communication highlights not only the artistry of the “language of flowers” but also reveals the complex emotions and diverse relationships among people.
The exhibition themed “Pak Khlong Blooming” invites participants to explore this floral language by starting with a short questionnaire about someone they wish to convey their feelings to. Visitors can select flowers that best express their emotions through a web app, with the option to purchase these flowers from Pak Khlong Market before entering the “Immersive Flower Experience.” This segment transforms the abandoned Post Office building into an interactive projection mapping experience, allowing visitors to share feelings through flowers, from their hearts to the concrete walls.
The exhibition emphasizes that true value lies not merely in the “form” visible to the eye but also in the “essence” hidden within. Just as flowers use their beauty to encase deeper meanings, architecture is valued not solely for its aesthetic appeal but for the connections and interactions between people and the structure itself. These relationships enrich the architectural space, filling its voids and shaping the lives that unfold within it.
