Season change at Panfa

Autumn at Phan Fah Inspire dreams beyond reality. Bangkok was once known as ‘Venice of the East’ because numerous canals flew through the capital. People traveled by boats, engaged in trade along the canals, creating an atmosphere similar to Venice in Italy. Over the past decades, while land transportation was replaced. The Western architecture has had influenced on urban elements of such as streets and various bridges emerged while the existing landmarks; Fort Mahakan, and the Golden Mount, still stand out beautifully. Presently the canals and bridges merely served transportation needs. This might make us forget the once-beautiful and lively images. Especially the public park surrounded Fort Mahakan which was recently designed to be a recreation area, turns into the darkness after sundown. It would be great if the profession of lighting design could contribute to recreating the dreamlike images when this area was still vibrant. Together with classically emphasising the timeless beauty of the urban elements, creating an unimaginable atmosphere with colors reminiscent of the autumn season (which does not exist in Thailand) would inspire dreams beyond reality. This, in turn, would encourage people to engage in activities and appreciate the beauty of the historic area of Phra Nakhon in the golden moments of history. We always hope that our profession of lighting design will at least play some role in developing liveable spaces for the city.
