POCKET OASIS
POCKET OASIS GARDEN is a project that aims to create green spaces integrate these into the vacant areas within the city. As cities grow, green areas and large open spaces tend to diminish. However, there are still small, hidden spaces available, similar to the tiny pores in a sponge (Porosity). Creating small green areas within these spaces could be one solution to help restore and enhance the city's environment. By combining these small units, significant change can be achieved following a bottom-up approach.
‘POCKET’ symbolizes the warmth we seek when tucking our hands into a pocket. In the context of big cities, ‘POCKET PARKS’ represent these warm and safe spaces, serving as special areas within the city."

"The project’s approach to maximizing utility in minimal space. Consequently, we scaled down the garden size and integrated it with STREET FURNITURE designed for public areas. This design facilitates easy installation and addresses the need for temporary resting spots in a manner both suitable and fitting for the space. We selected Creeper plants for the greenery, supported by an environmentally resilient, rust-proof structure. As the plants grow and envelop the structure, they create a natural green shading that helps block the sun, thereby fostering a comfortable environment beneath it. This design is particularly well-suited for the tropical climate of Thailand."
The design of the POCKET OASIS GARDEN encompasses a multidimensional approach, considering factors ranging from the Urban planing level to experimenting with new, environmentally suitable alternative materials for practical use.
