Venz, we are a fan manufacturer that has focused on home decor for a long time. And one of our products, we have tried to use natural material as the rattan to do the weaving process and at last, it's become one of our design series. We want to experiment furthermore by turning back our sight to Bangkok city and considering how we manage to produce traditional craft style as same as we did but how we will reflect the problem of this capital of Thailand and find the solution for it? Finally, we found this opportunity, We chose to design the fan that has the combination of weaving as same as we did but we will change the material from natural rattan to an alternative material. For example The Water Hyacinth, The weed that grows a lot in the Bangkok area and has a maximum disposal rate of 17 tons per day. The artificial rattan recycles one part of 2000 tons of plastic trash in Bangkok. Moreover, every process from the beginning until the final should be in the Bangkok area to seize the carbon footprint and send messages to every visitor that Bangkok still has knowledge and skill to do the traditional craft it embeds in our local communities in Bangkok. At last, The fan the unique design for this exhibition will question the visitors about the urban lifestyle in this present moment. For example, Our urban population tends to stay alone or as a couple more than ever according to smaller living areas. The question is, Is it necessary to have the "Swing" feature in the fan? How much raw material we can save from cutting this feature? All of these will make the visitor realize something and make the questions along with us to something that should have or it have because it has been too?
