Specially designed for Bangkok Design Week 2023, this interactive tour teaches participants about the value of food surplus and how it can be used to make delicious meals rather than being treated as waste. Have a hands-on experience of the Scholars of Sustenance process, which rescues food surplus from businesses and prevents it from ending up in a landfill and polluting the environment, then see how the rescued food is transformed into flavourful dishes. Participants will even work in teams to create and cook their own rescued food menu. The tour provides a space where participants can deepen their knowledge on food waste and connect with one another to find ways to further reduce food waste in Bangkok. In collaboration with Bangkok 1899, Na Cafe will serve as the collaborative space inspiring people to make a social impact through design and participants will leave the tour energised with the ability to reduce food waste in their urban environment.
