'Ari Chatty Street' is a series of sound installations in 11 locations in Soi Ari. Audiences will learn the history of Ari by hearing the dialogue of anonymous characters speaking about their neighbor through its different eras. They need only scan the QR codes located at different Ari landmarks. Soundbites (with English subtitles) from archives, experimental noise art and radio dramas are some of the clips being used to tell the story of Ari, with many acquired from interviewing real residents and historical researchers. Completing the walk will result in a comprehensive walking tour of Ari encompassing its history and the people who live there. 'Ari Chatty Street' is being presented by local group 'Your Neighbor Ari' in collaboration with writer Nuttamon Pramsumran and sound experimentalist Sajib Azad. This project will only be available for 7 days during Bangkok Design Week 2023.
